About

Something’s up…

When things are going well and you’re feeling good, you’re not looking for a therapist…

But right now, something in your life is not working out. Your expectations aren’t being met, and you’re looking for some insight.

Maybe you’re thinking, “I thought I had my life together, and now all I do is stress.”

“I wake up dreading every day – I feel like I’ve lost myself….”

”I don’t know how to stop it – I think I’m going crazy, or getting sick, or irritating my family, and it’s all because of…”

Life used to be wide open. Everything seemed possible.

Now, you feel stuck. Stymied. Smothered.

Where did all this responsibility come from?

“I’m in pain – suffering with this situation and it stinks.”

But you don’t have to face it alone.

Deep inside, you know the truth.

Kids remind us of it all the time.

“Life is supposed to be fun – pain is a given, but suffering is optional – I have the power to create my life.”

Deep down, you remember – you just need to find your way back there.

Reignite your natural fire – spark your innate zest for life!

Reach out – let’s find some answers.

No, I don’t have your answers, but YOU DO!

And I can show you how to connect with your own Inner Wisdom to gain relief.

You’re invited to the path of an Open Mind…

Welcome to the idea that your
“open mind is fearless in its quest to live without suffering.”
– Byron Katie

How do I open my mind? How can I conquer my fears and find inner peace?

Together, we’ll define the current stressors that have rocked your world. Then, we’ll seek the source of these feelings within your thoughts and belief systems.

Freedom to find your way.

There’s no judgment here. In therapy, all thoughts and feelings are allowed.

You’ll find freedom in this process. And freedom brings results.

You’ll see that relief and clarity come quickly.

Then we dig.

To uncover the internal meaning and causes of your upset.

To help you gain self-insight.

It’s deep work – but the clarity is worth it.

And then we get creative – and write a new story

We explore physical, mental, and spiritual practices to gain the motivation and momentum to change.

You’ll discover new meaning for your family, health, relationships, and career.

You’ll develop a vision of a new future in pursuit of your dreams, and the strength, hope, and clarity to move forward.

It’s all about perspective.

As a Group Facilitator in Drug/Alcohol treatment centers, I was amazed at the power of perspective.

Though some complained and resisted treatment, calling it “prison,” others appreciated the temporary break from daily pressure to accept it as “camp.”

Some took the opportunity as a chance to learn and grow – treatment served as a “school” to develop self-insight.

Frequently, I’d hear someone comment that he wanted to get sober, do what it takes to get the training, then come back to teach what he’d learned and work in a treatment center.

Real growth is fun – connecting with your Inner Self is powerful.

Healing is addictive!

As therapy progresses and you gain a sense of power and emotional relief, you imagine an ever-evolving vision of your life as it unfolds.

And you’ll have the energy to pursue forgotten dreams and develop self-mastery.

You have what it takes – to heal and thrive.

I can see that for you when you cannot.

Your family and friends may have their own story about you. But I don’t, so with clarity, we can focus on the changes you want to make without judgment.

You’re one of a kind. No one else’s story is exactly like yours.

I appreciate the variety of challenges you face.

I’ve practiced the art of walking a joyful path, overcoming devastating challenges and losses. I’ve rewritten my own story, and I know from experience that this exploration works.

This is the real bliss. And it is addictive.

My personal mission statement

I created it at University of Santa Monica in a Spiritual Psychology master’s program:

“I am living in JOY, expressing my creativity by sharing my loving and my appreciation in order to inspire and uplift others.”

I entered therapy while living in New York City as a singer/actress/dancer doing Off-Off Broadway.

Old resentments and fears were holding me back. My Inner Critic terrorized my self-confidence.

Through therapy, I dealt with family stuff and found the emotional resilience I was lacking.

Since then I’ve been a Cruise Ship singer, wife, mom, music teacher, and life-long student of thought and behavior, seeking to understand others.

Now, I love my life; nurture myself; and bless my family, friends, and clients with my appreciation of their process.

I became a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, as I was so inspired by my master counselors and teachers I just had to become one of them!

I find my bliss in working with clients in individual and group settings with the intent to fulfill our purpose on the planet of “freedom, growth, and JOY.” – It’s a Practice.

My mission is to help you connect with your own Inner Counselor and Thrive.

I look forward to helping you rewrite your story and reinvigorate your life.
